Richard "Bear" Hunt
Richard grew up in Kentucky, the oldest of 5. He joined the Navy at 19 as an Aviation Boatswains Mate for 6 years. Once he was discharged, he went home to Kentucky while raising his children he decided to go to work in Healthcare.
Richard worked at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Ky as an ER tech for 15 years, then went into Long Term Care. Richard moved to Arizona with his wife in 2007 and began working in home health for 7 years with a client who had dementia. He also helped care for his mother-in-law who also had dementia. This gave him the desire to learn more about dementia care. In 2019 he became an Assisted Living Manager and a Certified Dementia Specialist and has a goal to pursue a Dementia Care Practitioner.
