Dan Brookey
Chaplain
BSBA, MA Theology
Ordained Minister
Dan Brookey joined the Christian Care/Fellowship Square family in December 2012, as Chaplain on the Fellowship Square Mesa campus. In 2018, he transferred to the Surprise campus to serve in the same capacity. Prior to joining Christian Care, Dan served as a Pastoral Care Minister at a local church.
As Chaplain, Dan coordinates the residents' Bible studies, Sunday Services, and special holiday services. He also meets one-on-one with limited pastoral counseling and always finds time to visit residents in the hospital and rehab.
Dan says it’s an honor to help residents and family members during end of life. His grandparents were the inspiration for his career path, "My grandfather was totally blind and needed extra care while my grandmother worked. It was at this time that God put the senior community into my heart."
Dan has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He then earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. An advocate for continuing education, Dan completed the LeadingAge Leadership Academy in 2014, and the International Fellowship of Chaplain training in October 2018.
In September 2019 he was awarded the Hometown Heroes of Surprise in the Community Hero-Spiritual category. We couldn't agree more.
