From Sunnyside Drive to Sunnyside Avenue
Information & FAQs
As you may know, for the past two-plus years, we have been working to resolve the issue of our street name Sunnyside Drive vs Avenue.
After working with local, city, and state government officials, and circulating a petition requesting support for a name change to our neighbors on Sunnyside Drive, all to no avail, we have exhausted our options.
At this point, we must begin the process of switching our address and documents from Sunnyside Drive to Sunnyside Avenue.
We understand this is extremely frustrating, and we wish there was more we could do to avoid this. We truly have made every effort to keep our address as it has been for the last 35 years. To learn more about how this issue came to pass, click here.

For almost three years, we have been working with government officials to change the name on the actual street sign to read 'Sunnyside Drive'. Our last option was to send a petition to our neighbors on Sunnyside Drive, asking for their support to change the physical sign on the street. For the city to accept our request, we needed to have 100% of the neighboring homeowners' signatures indicating that they agreed to the change. Unfortunately, we were not able to reach that.
There is no set timetable for you to complete this change. You can wait to update records one-by-one at your upcoming appointments (doctors, dentists, etc), or you can reach out to your contacts directly when you are ready to do so.
